FAQs

What is the difference between Premium and Atlassian Access?

Atlassian Access gives an organization centralized control, visibility, and increased security across all Atlassian cloud products. Access helps admins
– increase security
– automate user lifecycle management with SAML SSO
– user provisioning (SCIM)
– audit logs
– and more

What are the pricing differences for the different Cloud plans?

For the purpose of illustration, we tabulated the monthly subscription cost of Jira Software Cloud.

– Premium plan starts at 2 times of the Standard plan
– As you add more users, the average price per user will decrease
– For annual subscription, there will be 2 months free

How can I get additional discount?

You can use the Cloud Pricing Calculator to estimate your bill.

Should I go for Cloud or on-Premise (Server/DC)?

It really depends on a number of factors such as
Cost – It is very cheap to host on Cloud if you have a small team
Control – to view the log files, dictate when to perform upgrades, site url, etc
Customisation – one of the major strengths of Atlassian products is that they are extensible
Expertise – whether there are people to manage and support the solution
Features – some of the apps on Marketplace are not available for Cloud. So do check it out first
Integration with other systems – linkage with corporate LDAP, Single Sign On (SSO) solutions
Performance – it is definitely faster if the server is within your network

It is still possible to host a Server/Data Center on Cloud infrastructure like
Amazon AWS
Microsoft Azure
– or your own private Cloud

Which Cloud plan should I get?

It depends.
